Amazon Launches New Browser-Based Kindle Store for iPad

$10

Description

I have to say it’s a wise decision for Amazon, after all, iPad is much more popular than Kindle Fire, iPad users are much more too, even Kindle Fire is cheaper than iPad, though they have something in common, which is you need a free mp4 converter if you want to watch movies on them. Now Amazon rolls out a nicer way for iPad owners to browse for Kindle Books. Does Amazon really think of consumers or readers? I seriously doubt it. To be honest, it all comes down to market share, Amazon still has a much wider selection of books, and while the Kindle Fire may never outsell Apple’s tablet, iPad bibliophiles are going to buy their digital reads somewhere.

To use this Kindle store with iPad is easy, you just need to check the homepage of iPadKindleStore, then you are in, and the following steps are just the same with others, once you have a book you fancy, you can buy it or read a sample, just as with the regular site, and if you want to download the book that has DRM protection, you just need to remove drm, that’s pretty easy. Once you choose a sample (or hit the “buy” button) you can choose to read it in the Kindle app or in the browser using the Amazon Cloud Reader. Gone is the drop-down of places to send the download — the web-app just assumes you want to read it on the device in your hands.

Here’s how it works:

1. Go to Amazon.com with Safari on your iPad.

2. Select Kindle Store.

3. Click on the brown banner: “New Kindle Store.”

4. Select an item for preview or purchase. It will be added to your Amazon cloud, and you can read it with the Kindle app on the iPad.

You even won’t feel like it’s a browser-based Kindle Store, maybe it’s all because of Amazon’s design, when you using it, you will feel like you are using a native app. It supports all the gestures used on iPad including touch and swipe, and users can browse virtual bookshelves as well. Customers who receive newspapers and magazines on Kindle will be able to download them to their iOS devices through the archived items section as well. About all these eBooks or e-Readers, you must know one thing, which is different devices support different formats, like sometimes you need to convert epub to pdf, if you want to make the most of those digital resources, you need to know something about that.

No matter what Amazon or Apple is going to do and what’s their purpose, what we want is more good free service, their benefits have nothing to do with us actually.
