iPad Users Have More Liberties to Use Amazon Resource with the Update of Kindle Newsstand
Description
Even tough Kindle and Apple are competitors, but they still depend on each other, ok, Kindle is kind of depend on the popularity of Apple, if you are a fan of Kindle fire, you may feel a litter unfair, so probably you want to ask me: how to tell? Well, Amazon has released a bunch of apps on iOS, of course, it’s cool for iDevices users who also want to enjoy Amazon apps. And recently, Amazon updates Newsstand for iOS, the purpose is obvious, to extend their popularity via huge iDevices users.
The update packs a handful of new features specific to the iPad, including added access to a selection of over 400 magazines and newspapers that are also available on the Kindle Fire. Amazon’s magazine and newspaper selection competes with Apple’s own Newsstand feature built in to iOS 5. Now the iPad app can also now display “print replica textbooks,” which are more like giant PDFs than interactive applications. All iOS devices, not just the iPad, now support the Send-to-Kindle feature, allowing users to send documents to the device by email. They can also open PDFs from email or the browser in the Kindle app.
To be honest, no one really cares the tiny difference between Kindle Fire and iPad, they all have their own features and drawbacks, I guess the most annoying defect for us is the video format they support, at least for me, because I’m movie fan, I always want to watch all kinds of format videos on my iPad, but it can’t be achieved, because iPad can’t support most formats, so dose Kindle Fire, if you want to watch movies on it, you need a kindle fire video converter, so at least they have a similarity somehow. But if you are not addicted movies that much, what you like to do is reading, Amazon’s update of Newsstand really dose a big favor for you, with this app, your iPad has more privileges to do the things that previously can’t allowed.
The iPad has also gained access to print replica textbooks. With this, students can buy thousands of titles, and also choose to rent many textbooks. Print replica textbooks maintain the rich formatting and layout of print additions, but add features like notes, highlights, zooming, panning, a linked table of contents, and Whispersync of notes with other Kindle devices. But there is no exception if you want to download eBooks that have DRM protection, no matter what your device is, Kindle Fire or iPad, only with the help of drm converter, you can read those protected resource.
The Kindle app for iOS is Amazon’s extension of that service onto Apple’s platform. Apple’s own Newsstand has given publishers a major bump since the launch of iOS 5 in October. The Kindle app is popular on the iPad for e-books, though, and Amazon hopes to divert some attention away from Apple’s Newsstand with today’s update.
Definitely, iPad users are the biggest beneficiaries because of this update, now you can enjoy the functions that only permitted on Kindle before, moreover, if you want to make the most of Amazon library, you should have a free drm removal, then you are completely free to use the vast resource of Amazon.
